Privacy Policy
Billionder has two parts: the parody app at /demo/ (no real money, no account) and Billionder Drop, where real bills are paid by real people straight to the utility. We collect as little as possible. Here is exactly what happens to your data.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Erica Torta (Lyto Studio), Corso Racconigi 159D, 10141 Torino, Italia. For anything about your data write to [email protected].
What stays on your device
Your swipes, chats, uploaded bills, name and badges are saved only in your browser's local storage. They are never sent to us. You can delete them with “Reset everything” in your profile, or by clearing your browser data.
This local storage is only needed to make the app work, so it doesn't require consent. We don't use cookies for tracking, advertising or profiling.
Waitlist
If you join the waitlist we save your email address, the language you chose and the date you joined.
Why: only to tell you if a real version of Billionder launches. No spam, no newsletters about other things.
Legal basis: your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
How long: until you ask us to remove you, and in any case no longer than 24 months. If the project doesn't go ahead, we delete the list.
We never sell your email or share it with anyone, except the technical providers listed below.
Technical providers
The site and the waitlist are hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), which acts as our processor. To keep the site secure Cloudflare may process technical data such as your IP address for a short time. Transfers to the USA are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
If we enable visit statistics, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics: anonymous, without cookies and without tracking you across sites.
Fonts are served from our own site, so no data goes to Google.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, to receive a copy of it and to withdraw your consent. Write to [email protected] and we'll reply within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Italy: the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it).
Billionder Drop: what we collect
If you use Billionder Drop we save: your first name and email (to greet you and log you in with a link, no password); for each bill you upload, the photo or PDF, the utility, amount, due date, payment codes and your sentence, plus the date you gave consent; if you pay a bill, the receipt you upload.
The photo and the receipt are seen only by us, to check they are real. They are never published. In the Drop other people only see the utility, the amount, the due date and your sentence. The payment codes are shown only to the person who chose to pay that bill.
We never ask for or store card numbers, IBANs or bank details: payments happen in your own bank, directly to the utility.
Billionder Drop: why and for how long
Why: to run the Drop (check bills, show them, let someone pay them, confirm the payment) and to prevent fraud.
Legal basis: the service you ask us for (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in preventing abuse (art. 6(1)(f)).
How long: photos and receipts are deleted automatically 30 days after upload. The bill's details (without the photo) and your email are kept while your account is active and at most 24 months, then deleted. You can ask us to delete everything earlier.
Files are stored privately on Cloudflare Workers KV and the data in Cloudflare D1, on servers in the EU where possible (see Technical providers). Login emails are sent through Resend (USA), which only receives your email address.
Age
The waitlist is for people aged 14 or over. Billionder Drop is only for people aged 18 or over.
Changes
If we change how we use data we'll update this page and the date below.
